Components for a Quiet Computer

Filed under: Projects — admin @

Many computers operate at a loud volume because of how the components are designed and the sheer number of moving parts within the computer. Building a computer from scratch allows a designer to purchase quality components made to generate low to no sound. Listed below are all of the components necessary to build an extremely quiet computer. All of the components are of excellent quality so the end result will be a powerful and stable computer providing a decent amount of future proofing. All of the different pieces can be purchased at the popular online computer part retailer newegg.com (see the Newegg Wikipedia page for more information about newegg.com). Prices below are current as of 2008/06/03.

Case:
A well designed case is designed to efficiently route air to make larger but slower RPM case fans better at moving the hot air generated by the internal components.
